At its simplest, a fanlisting is a website that lists fans of a particular subject. However, unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a website in order to join a fanlisting. The only requirements are your name, email address, and country/location. Fans from around the world submit their information and are then listed to show their love for the subject. Adventurous is the TFL-approved fanlisting for Phil Keoghan. It's listed under the main category Personalities and subcategory Amazing Race, The: General. It's currently owned and maintained by Andrea and is part of Hillbilly Rockstar and October Frost Designs. I was approved to build it on September 10, 2007 and opened it on October 18, 2007.
A previous TFL-approved fanlisting for Phil Keoghan existed for awhile and I was a member, but I don't know when or why it was removed from the network. I'm a huge fan of Phil and am thrilled to death to finally have the opportunity to run one of my kill-for fanlistings!
I hope to have much more information on Phil soon, but for now here's a short biography courtesy of CBS.com:
Phil Keoghan has worked all over the world as a cameraman, producer and host. Since the age of 19, he has hosted more than 1,000 program episodes, including his own internationally-distributed series "Keoghan's Heroes," which profiles famous thrill-seekers around the world.
Keoghan got his big break in front of the camera hosting the series "Spot On," when he auditioned while on an apprentice program in cinematography. Since then, he has co-created and co-produced the primetime cable series "Phil Keoghan's Adventure Crazy," which is one of the highest-rated series on the Travel Channel in the United States and is currently broadcast worldwide.
His additional television credits include "Go for It," an extreme sports show, "Fox After Breakfast," a morning show, and "The 1998 Film Festival Awards." In 1999, he co-hosted the primetime CBS special "Surprise, Surprise."
Keoghan is currently executive-producing and hosting a series for the Discovery Channel called "N.O.W." ("No Opportunity Wasted"), which will give people from all over the United States the chance to live their dreams on national television.
Originally from New Zealand, Keoghan lives with his wife and daughter in Los Angeles. His birth date is May 31.
